Das Thema Bild- und Bewegtbildanalyse gewinnt auch in der – bis dato stark auf Text fokussierten – Digital Humanities Community immer mehr an Bedeutung. So wurde etwa Anfang des Jahres eine dedizierte Arbeitsgruppe beim deutschsprachigen DH-Verband (DHd) gegründet. Mit dem Symposium in Regensburg, am 3. Juli 2017, soll eine Bestandsaufnahme bestehender Ansätze zur computerbasierten Filmanalyse erfolgen und dabei Grenzen und Möglichkeiten solch digitaler Analyseverfahren diskutiert werden.
